State of Colorado Proposition HH

From: propHHsucks.com
-“Proposition HH is a back-door tax hike that takes away TABOR refunds, and it creates a “new normal” of higher property taxes forever.”
-“If HH were a tax cut, it wouldn’t be on the ballot. It’s on the ballot because the state needs your permission to raise your taxes.

From: Wall Street Journal
- “Democrats in Denver are backing a measure that would blow through the state’s spending cap under the guise of a bogus property-tax cut.”

Fort Collins City-Initiated Ballot issue No 1 Gigantic Tax Increase

From: William H. Rutledge, Jr VOTE NO
”City-Initiated Ballot Issue No. 1 includes three distinctly different issues:

1. City Recreation Facilities, 50%
2. Carbon Reduction, 25%
3. Public transit system, 25%

A total of $23,800,000 would be collected via an increase in sales and use taxes of .50% beginning January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2050  Therefore, approximately $6,000,000 would be dedicated to Carbon Reduction and  $6,000,000 for repair and replacement of city public transit system.  The balance of approximately $12,000,000 would be devoted to repair and/or replacement of recreational facilities.

I am of the opinion that the $6,000,000 for Carbon Reduction could not stand alone if presented for public vote.  Therefore, I will vote against this ballot issue.

Fort Collins City-Initiated Ballot Issue No 2

From: William H. Rutledge, Jr VOTE NO
City-Initiated Ballot Issue No. 2 is related to an increase of city investment into the housing market via acquisition of "affordable" housing.  You may recall that the large area of Fort Collins that included Hughes Stadium was initially considered for conversion to development for dense housing by the University and/or the city.  That was rejected by public vote.

Have you ever visited one of the federal government "PROJECTS" in many of our large cities?  They are/were dense housing complexes that became filthy, dangerous, rundown facilities.
